Delete individual items
Open Protocol Vault, navigate to the protocol or record, open its actions menu, and choose the delete option. Review the confirmation carefully. Exact wording can vary by app version.
Delete all local app data
To erase the app’s local database from Android:
Go to the system Settings app on your device.
Choose Apps, Applications, or App management, then select Protocol Vault.
Choose Storage & cache or a similarly named option.
Choose Clear storage or Clear data and confirm. This removes the local Protocol Vault database from that device.
If you do not have a separate usable backup or export, cleared local data cannot be recovered.
Uninstall the app
Uninstalling Protocol Vault generally removes its local app data from the device. Android behavior can vary, so use the clear-storage steps above first when you want to explicitly verify local deletion.
Delete backups and exports
Protocol Vault does not enable backups unless you explicitly choose them. Clearing the app does not remove copies you previously exported or stored elsewhere. Open the destination you selected—such as device files or a third-party storage provider—and delete those copies there. Also empty that provider’s trash or recently deleted area when appropriate.
Delete information sent to support
If you previously emailed support and want us to delete information from that correspondence, email support@protocolvault.app from the same address. Describe the messages involved without resending sensitive details. We may retain limited records where required for security, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
Because Protocol Vault does not require an account, there is no Protocol Vault cloud account to delete.
